ABSTRACT
I
The article considers Moontrap and Sat-
trap technologies as new economical technologies to
construct the lunar orbital station (LOS) and the lunar
base (LB). They allow for a threefold or fourfold cut
of landing stage expenditures and a tenfold and more
cost reduction for other stages. Within the framework
of the Moontrap technology, the result is achieved by
using the external brake medium, regolith and other
materials, instead of on-board fuel reserves. Whereas
the Sattrap technology is aimed at lunar materials ex-
port and employs cargo traps, brought to the circum-
lunar orbit. The paper provides the details of both the
technologies, calculations for technical and economic
assessments and describes implementation options.
